The purpose of the Owners and Authorities Group is:
- Sharing of Best Practice in relation to the promotion of Light Rail schemes
- Providing support and advice to potential owners and authorities, including acting as a point of contact for new and potential scheme promoters
- Feed into UITP work on a light rail and be represented on UITP Light Rail Committee to develop stronger presence and forge useful links with LRT systems worldwide
- Providing opportunities for members to raise issues of concern and relevance with other members and identify industry wide concerns
