Edinburgh Trams

The newest light rail system in the British Isles, this 14km tram route runs from Edinburgh Airport all the way to York Place in the city centre. Along the route are 15 tram stops, connecting passengers with bus and rail services and popular shopping and commuter destinations.

Edinburgh Trams has a fleet of 27 Urbos 3 trams built by CAF. They are the longest Tram’s to operate in the UK at 42.8 metres (140 ft 5 in) long and are completely low floored. Each tram has a capacity of 250, allowing for 78 seated and 170 standing passengers and 2 wheelchairs.
