Edinburgh Trams

The newest light rail system in the British Isles, this 14km tram route runs from Edinburgh Airport all the way to the city centre. Currently the are 14 tram stops, connecting passengers with bus and rail services and popular shopping and commuter destinations and this will increase with the completion of the Trams to Newhaven project, planned for early in 2023.

Edinburgh Trams has a fleet of 27 Urbos trams built by CAF. They are the longest Tram’s to operate in the UK at 42.8 metres (140 ft 5 in) long and are completely low floored. Each tram has a capacity of 250, allowing for 78 seated and 170 standing passengers and 2 wheelchairs.
