Colin Robey has 57 years of experience in the rail industry.
He was the Development Manager for the major schemes to re-open Snow Hill Station and the extension of the route to Smethwick Galton Bridge, The Robin Hood Line from Nottingham to Worksop, the Ivanhoe Line Loughborough to Leicester and the Chase Line from Walsall to Rugeley.
At Centro ( now Transport for West Midlands, TfWM0 he was responsible for rail franchise and tram concession management, the project to deliver 20 new trams and extend the Midland Metro maintenance depot and control centre and operational input into the extensions into Birmingham and Wolverhampton stations.
Since stepping down as Managing Director of UKTram, Colin took on the role as Chair of the UKTram Centre of Excellence group and has overseen the production of the Route Map and Pre-Route map to assist potential sponsors in producing their outline business plan, along with the development of a Tram Tracker, which has been developed in partnership with the DfT.
