Tickets are selling fast for a landmark event for the nation’s light rail sector, and there are just days left to book discounted accommodation in the host city.
The Light Rail Summit, organised by UKTram and the LRSSB, will see professionals from across the sector meet at the Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel on 23rd September for the unveiling of a new vision for the future of the country’s tramways and metro systems.
UKTram has negotiated a special delegate rate of only £60 per night for a single room including breakfast or £72 per night for a double room (also including breakfast) at the venue, but they must be booked by Friday, 20th August by emailing EventsManager@edinburghgrosvenorhotel.co.uk.
Jamie Swift, UKTram Marketing and Commercial Manager, explained: “As well as offering high-quality accommodation, the Grosvenor Hotel was chosen as the venue for the summit thanks to its excellent transport links, with Haymarket tram stop and railway station just around the corner.
“Places are also limited for the summit so, as well as booking a room at the hotel by next Friday, we would urge anyone planning to take part to purchase their ticket as soon as possible from the UKTram online shop https://uktramshop.org.”
Set at just £99+VAT for UKTram and LRSSSB members, and £199+VAT for non-members, tickets include admission to the summit, an evening networking event with drinks and buffet, a walking tour of the Trams To Newhaven project, plus free tram travel throughout the event, including transfers from Edinburgh Airport.
Jamie added: “This really is an event that’s not to be missed, with UKTram unveiling its vision for the future and light rail and senior figures from across the sector leading discussions on the challenges and opportunities they face.”
