Trams fitted with face masks! Monday July 6, 2020

On Monday 22 June, Scottish Government made it mandatory to wear a face covering on public transport. As part of a campaign to encourage the public to follow government advice and wear a mask, Edinburgh Trams has given some of their vehicles a makeover!

Several trams in the system can now be seen wearing blue face coverings whilst carrying essential workers across Edinburgh. These temporary stickers highlight the organisations ‘#StaySafe and Cover Up’ messaging which is mirrored in all their communications. New posters at all tram stops and on board highlight the latest travel advice given by Edinburgh Trams to ensure all journeys are carried out as safely as possible.

Trams continue to run every 15 minutes though out the day and customers are encouraged to download the Transport for Edinburgh app to plan their travel in advance.
