Marketing and customer service professionals from across the light rail sector are being urged to get onboard a new initiative to boost the popularity of the country’s tramways.
Led by UK Tram, a new Light Rail Marketing, Communications and Customer Service Group will meet quarterly to share best practice and discuss ideas on raising the profile of existing networks.
Jamie Swift, UK Tram Marketing and Commercial Manager, explained: “From the feedback we’ve received from operators, we understand that effective customer services and communication are vital to growing patronage.
“By establishing this group, UK Tram can support the sector by providing an effective forum to share innovative solutions to industry-wide challenges.”
The first meeting of the group is planned for the morning of Thursday, September 26 in Nottingham, with the results of discussions being reported to UK Trams’ Light Rail Operators Committee in the afternoon.
