On July 2nd, Pre Metro Operations visited the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s new headquarters, located on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border.
The Pre Metro team was given an extensive tour of the charity’s airbase and state-of-the-art facility, which features modern equipment and resources designed to enhance its lifesaving services.
They were warmly greeted by the on-call crew and Jon Cottrell, the Senior Partnership Executive, who provided an in-depth understanding of the charity’s daily operations and its crucial role in emergency medical response.
However, the visit was not just an opportunity to learn about the charity’s impressive work; it also marked a significant contribution from Pre Metro.
The company donated £3,695 on behalf of Stourbridge Shuttle Driver David Spruce, a crucial step in achieving his ambitious fundraising goal of £100,000.
David Spruce, who has a longstanding relationship with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity after previously working for the organisation, has been dedicated to fundraising for over 20 years.
His extensive efforts have not only provided vital funds for the charity but also raised awareness about its lifesaving services.
In addition to his fundraising for the charity, David is well-known in Stourbridge for organising the local Military Vehicle Parade. His commitment to community service and charitable causes has earned him widespread respect and admiration.
Speaking about his remarkable fundraising achievement, David said:
“Having worked hard over the years to raise funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity since 2000, it’s amazing that my current employer offered to support me in achieving this milestone.”
Steve Jasper, Director of Pre Metro, stood alongside David to present the cheque. He emphasised the exceptional nature of David’s achievement and the importance of supporting Midlands Air Ambulance Charity:
“For one person alone to have raised £100,000 for such a worthy cause is amazing. I doubt many, if any, individuals have achieved this milestone. We are very proud to have David as a member of our team.”
The visit by Pre Metro Operations to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s new headquarters establishes a partnership between the two organisations.
The management team at Pre Metro is always eager to support local charities, and this generous donation on behalf of David Spruce highlights the significance of community funding and support.
David Spruce’s ongoing dedication to both the charity and the local community serves as an inspiring example of how one person’s commitment can make a substantial difference.
