UK Tram has today announced the appointment of James Hammett to the role of Managing Director. James, has been General Manager at UK Tram for the past 4 years, he will take over as Managing Director after the recent Board meeting, where Colin Robey formally stepped down. James will bring his extensive knowledge and experience in the Light Rail industry to his new position and will play a key role in developing and growing the company further.
Colin Robey, has stepped down from the position of Managing Director after his recent announcement at the UK Tram Board meeting. Colin has been Managing Director for 4 years and has played a critical part in overseeing the changes of the constitution and chairing the Executive and Guidance, Standards, Safety & Assurance group meetings. Colin will continue to chair the Guidance, Standards, Safety and Assurance Group and will remain as a Director of UK Tram. We cannot thank Colin enough for the dedication, passion and enthusiasm he has given UK Tram over the past 4 years. He will be greatly missed in his post by his colleagues, Board members and partners alike. We look forward to the success of both James and Colin’s revised positions within the company and their respective careers and are hopeful and excited for the next chapter of UK Tram.
