Tickets are now on sale for what promises to be a landmark event for the UK’s light rail sector.
Professionals from across the sector are set to meet at the Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel on September 23 for the unveiling of a new vision for the future of the country’s tramways and metro systems.
Organised jointly by the sector’s representative body, UKTram, and the Light Rail Safety and Standards Board, the summit will also feature a series of high-level debates on a range of key topics.
Jamie Swift, UKTram Marketing and Commercial Manager, explained: “Throughout the summit, professionals from across the sector will lead discussions on the challenges and opportunities faced by tramways and other metro systems as the country emerges from the coronavirus pandemic.
“Following months of research and extensive consultations, the event will also mark the official publication by UKTram of a far-reaching vision for the future of light rail.”
To reflect increased costs for this expanded annual summit, there will be a small cost for delegates. Set at just £99+VAT for UKTram and LRSSSB members, and £199+VAT for non-members, tickets include admission to the summit, an evening networking event with drinks and buffet, a walking tour of the Trams To Newhaven project on September 24, plus free tram travel throughout the event including transfers from Edinburgh Airport.
“For such a high-profile event this offers excellent value for money, and booking a place couldn’t be easier following the launch of the new UKTram ‘Shop’ at https://uktramshop.org,” Jamie added.
Accommodation is also available at the Grosvenor Hotel where UKTram has negotiated special delegate rates, from only £60 per night, including breakfast. These rates are available until 20th August, and you can book by emailing EventsManager@edinburghgrosvenorhotel.co.uk.
