Nominate a rising star of the sector

The search is on to find the 2020 Rail Professional of the Year and UK Tram members are being urged to nominate the rising stars of the light rail sector.

The awards present the opportunity to highlight the achievements of young people at varying stages of their careers in the rail industry and judges will be looking for winners in the following categories:

  1. Young Rail Professional of the Year-presented to a young professional who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the rail industry during the last 12 months.

  2. Young Rail Professionals’ Apprentice of the Year-awarded in recognition of the talent and outstanding commitment of a rail industry apprentice.

  3. Young Rail Professionals’ Mentor of the Year– for an individual who had a positive impact on the personal and professional development of an individual or group of young rail professionals.

The awards are organised by Young Rail Professional, an organisation founded in 2009 to promote the railway industry as a great place to work and to inspire and develop the next generation of railway talent.

Winners will be announced at the YRP Annual Dinner in Manchester on April 23 and the closing date for nominations is Friday, February 14.
