Just a few places remain available for light rail professionals planning to take part in a high-profile event that aims to highlight both the challenges and opportunities faced by the sector.
Transport Minister Baroness Vere has already been confirmed as a keynote speaker at the Light Rail Summit in Manchester on September 15.
Organised by UKTram, the free event will also feature presentations by James Wingerath, Commercial Director of Youth Employment UK, and Guillaume Chanussot, Managing Director of KeolisAmey Metrolink.
Paul Appleton, Deputy Director of Railway Safety and HM Deputy Chief Inspector of Railways at the Office of Rail and Road, will also be leading a debate on cybersecurity as part of a packed programme of discussions.
James Hammett, UKTram Managing Director, commented: “Places at the summit, to be held at the impressive headquarters of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce in Deansgate, are strictly limited and there are just a few tickets left.
“Most have already been snapped up, so we would urge anyone thinking of coming along to secure their place as soon as possible or risk missing out on the chance to join crucial discussions on the future of light rail.”
Further information about the summit, including a full programme and booking details, is available by emailing lorrainegeorge@uktram.co.uk.
