Stourbridge Shuttle

Opened in 1879, the Stourbridge branch line has been carrying passengers to and from Stourbridge Town/Junction for over 141 years.

It has services every 10 minutes in both directions, and a highly reliable performance figure of 99.6%.

The service is operated by PRE METRO, in partnership with West Midlands Railway. The innovative Class 139 railcars have been used on the branch line since 2009.

As the UK’s first award-winning very light rail system, to date, the service has completed over seven million passenger journeys and makes 1370 trips per week.
