NET Nottingham Tram

In March 2004, public transport in Nottingham was revolutionised with the launch of Nottingham’s tram.

Today, NET Nottingham Trams is a 32-kilometre-long (20 mi) tramway, with 51 tram stops and 37 tram sets built by Bombardier Transportation - Alstom.
Each tram is named after a local hero of the past or present, honouring people that have made a difference in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Examples include Mary Earps (Tram 222), Torvill and Dean (Tram 201), D.H. Lawrence (Tram 202), Sir Peter Mansfield (Tram 223), and David Larke (Tram 235).

The network covers all major employment sites, both Universities and Nottingham College as well as the main attractions and restaurants, café and shopping spots. A recent survey conducted by behavioural science experts, Mindfield Research, recently revealed 92% of Nottingham would recommend NET.
