Midlands tramway recruiting Operations Manager

West Midlands Metro is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to join its growing team.

Working for tram operator Midland Metro Limited (MML) the successful candidate will be based at the Metro’s Wednesbury depot, and will be responsible for helping to maintain a robust, reliable service for customers.

They will also provide leadership and support to the Service Delivery Team, playing a key role in delivering and shaping departmental strategy.

Acting as a deputy to the Head of Operations, the new Operations Manager will be responsible for reviewing and implementing operational plans; designing and managing a programme of continuous development for the team; and liaising with managers and stakeholders to promote the organisation’s ‘service first’ ethos.

Working in a fast-paced environment, the role requires a responsive and proactive approach and also includes managing staff rotas and identifying trends that impact on performance with a view of and making recommendations for improvements.
